The main house and 5 cottages are available for rent. The main house accommodates 11 people and has 3 bedrooms (with Queen and twin beds), 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, dining room, and 2 living rooms (one with 2 single sleeper sofas). The house has A/C, heat, satellite TV, washer/dryer and outdoor grille. The dockside cottages each accommodate 4 people and have 2 bedrooms, toilet with shower, a kitchen, and bedding for 4, towels, toiletries, kitchen appliances, TV and VCR, and adjacent outdoor grille. The lakefront property has 400 ft of lake frontage, a beach, 2 docks, a boat ramp, children's playground, basketball, picnic area with fire pit and 20 acres of woods. The vacation property has a boat ramp and trailer park space. No smoking in Main House or Cottages; OK outside with care. Ask and describe pets first; usually OK. The Lodge is handicapped accessible in Main House only. SurroundingsThunderhead Lodge is in a secluded and scenic location about 5 miles west of Park Falls, WI - in the middle of Wisconsin's Beautiful Northwoods with many lakes, scenic attractions, parks, and wildlife. Water recreation includes swimming, trophy fishing, and water skiing. Other nearby recreation includes golf, tennis, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, snowmobiling, downhill and cross-country skiing, and hunting. ATV trails are adjacent to property. Close to Lake Superior and Michigan's UP. Good food at reasonable prices from many places. Good hunting and fishing and many recreational activities available. Butternut Lake covers 1000 acres and has a water depth of 50 feet. Boat motors are allowed. Fish include Musky, Walleye, Pike, and Panfish. Fishing guide service is available.
