Rental rates and seasons

The private vacation cabin is available for rent all year. Rental rates for the Ohio cabin are $450 per week (Mon - Sat), and $150 per day for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. $125 per day Monday - Thursday. Reduced winter rates are available. 

$200 security deposit required. Renters must be of legal age. The number in the party must be stated; no additions without permission.

Accommodation details

The vacation home has 2 bedrooms (1 queen + 1 double bed), and a bathroom with shower, tub, and towels. The cabin also has a living room with fireplace and sectional Queen size sleeper sofa, a walkout basement, and full kitchen with microwave, dishes, and pots and pans. Linens and comforter are provided.

The cabin has a phone, TV and VCR, and air conditioning. Along the back of the house, a picture window and deck face the lake and forest.

The property has a gas grill, picnic table, and fire pit.

Pets ($25 fee) and smoking are permitted. The cabin is partially accessible to handicapped persons.

Surroundings

The vacation house is secluded and quiet, and the property is wooded. The property is on a quiet dead end ridge road with a view through the trees of the Tappan Lake dam area. A public landing is at the foot of the property's hill, and a Marina is nearby. Water recreation at the lake includes swimming, trophy fishing, and water skiing. Other nearby recreation includes golf, hiking, bicycling, and hunting. The Conotton Trail is a recent addition for hiking. It is accessed in Bowerston and features 11 miles of asphalted trail along the old Raal Road. Shopping and dining is only 10 - 40 minutes away.

Tappan Lake is approximately 2,350 acres, with a maximum water depth of 34 feet. Fish include channel and flathead catfish, bullhead, white and largemouth bass, panfish, walleye and saugeye.

The cabin is 1/8 mile off Rt. 250, just off Twp. 215 and 20 minutes from the New Philadelphia exit at I-77.
