Accommodation detailsSnug Haven Lakeside Resort rents 4 modern, fully furnished vacation homes. The Nest is wheelchair/scooter accessible with an ADA-compliant full bathroom on the main floor. Each vacation home has a unique layout but all have decks (three are covered), gas grills, lawn chairs, and picnic tables overlooking Budd Lake. Each kitchen is fully equipped with spacious refrigerators, electric range/ovens, dishes and glassware, serving and eating utensils, pots and pans, coffee makers, toasters, and a microwave oven. All units have cable, wireless internet, and flat-screen televisions. We provide linens, towels, pillows and blankets. Guests bring their own beach towels. Maid service is available at an additional charge. The resort has a children’s play area on the 250-foot long sandy beach, a protected swimming area inside our C-shaped floating dock, a communal fire ring, and assorted beach toys (volleyball net, bocce balls, etc.). The Hideaway has a private dock, beach and fire ring, making it an excellent choice for large families or multiple families wishing to share one vacation home. Various nonmotorized watercraft are available for guest use at no charge (paddlewheel boats, aluminum rowboats, and kayaks). The resort rents pontoons to guests only. Sorry, no pets. SurroundingsThe family vacation resort is secluded but still close to downtown Harrison. The 2.5 acre wooded property is on the southeast shore of Budd Lake, a well-known mid Michigan all-sports lake. Harrison is in the middle of the state, making it an excellent starting point for day trips in all four directions. However, most guests never find a reason to leave the resort. Water recreation includes swimming, trophy fishing, kayaking, and water skiing. Dock space is available for guests to bring their own boats. Budd Lake is approximately 175 acres, with a water depth of 35 feet. Fish include muskie, bass, walleye, and panfish. Other nearby recreation includes golf (SnowSnake, The Quest, Tamaracks, Pohlcat and others), tennis, hiking, bicycling, hunting, ORV riding, and casino games. The Clare County fair is held in Harrison in late August. Other events include the Amish Quilt Auctions (generally the first weekend in May and in September), Memorial Day celebrations, July 4th celebrations, the Harrison Street Fair (July 17-18) and Waterfest (first weekend in August). Additional informationThe resort rents fully furnished, modern vacation homes and pontoons. The resort is in the middle of Amish country (quilts, baked goods and furniture) and within easy driving distance of many Michigan attractions, including four Great Lakes, Soaring Eagle Casino, outlet shopping in Birch Run, antiquing in Saginaw and Bay City, the Cherry Festival in Traverse City, and Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant. For more information or reservations, mention U.S.
