Two lovely waterfront cottages less than 10 minutes from Traverse City in northern Michigan. Located on one of the premier all sports lakes in the Traverse City area - Silver Lake. This Traverse City area lake is a 600 acre spring fed lake known in northern Michigan for its swimming, boating, water skiing, tubing and fishing. The cottages have direct frontage on 100 ft. of private sandy beach lake frontage. Enjoy the dock, swimming raft, the hammock under the branches of a huge black willow tree and the campfire area. We provide a row boat for each of the rental cottages, but feel free to bring your own watercraft. Relax in our large yard filled with flowers as you watch the kids swim or play. Not only will you enjoy the outdoor amenities, but you will appreciate the cleanliness and comfort in the cottages. We live next door and are available to answer any questions you may have about directions to the area attractions, find out where the locals go to enjoy the natural wonders of the area, where the best restaurants are and where to shop. We want you to have a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

The Willow (2 BR/1 Bath) sleeps 6 and the Maple Grove (2BR/2 Bath) sleeps 8. The cottages have fireplace, deck, cable TV/VCR, and DVD player, and high speed internet access. The fully-equipped kitchen has a coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, and pots and pans. Linens are provided. Please bring towels.

The lakefront property has a sand beach, dock, barbecue grill, and picnic table. A boat launch is available at the north end of the lake and is an easy 5 minute drive from the cottages.

Pets are not allowed. No smoking in the cottage. The cottage is partially handicapped accessible.

The cottage is in a lake side community of year-round residences. Nearby water recreation includes swimming, snorkeling, fishing, water skiing, and canoeing. Other nearby recreation includes golf, tennis, hiking, bicycling, and horseback riding.

The cottages are in a very nice location, 500 ft from the road. The property is flat with no stairs to the beach. There is a nice lawn area. The cottages are only 10 minutes from Traverse City, yet are out of town enough to provide that restful vacation setting.

Silver Lake covers 600 acres and has a water depth of 90 feet. Motors are allowed (no size limit). Fish include blue gill, small and large mouth bass to name a few.
