Vacation Cottage Rental Rates and SeasonsThe 2008 summer rate (June thru August) is $1200.00 per
week from Saturday to Saturday for a maximum of 6 people. Accommodation DetailsTreetop cottage has two bedrooms plus four bunk beds with two baths and is situated on 180 feet of beach on beautiful Rennie Lake, 12 miles from Traverse City. The lakeside upper deck is nestled in the trees for a picturesque setting that offers great views of the lake. Treetop cottage sleeps 6 people comfortably. The first upper bedroom contains a full size bed with beach décor. The second bedroom has a garden motif with a queen size bed. All bed linens are included. The kitchen contains all the usual appliances, including stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, pots and pans, utensils, coffee maker, dish towels and cloths. The washer and dryer are conveniently located next to the kitchen. The carpeted living room has two sofas, chair, television with Direct TV access including HBO, and a DVD/VCR player. The cottage does not include a phone. The lower walkout has 4 twin size bunk beds, one full bath, a partial kitchen, and two leather sofas with great views of the lake. The lower deck has a gas grill, swing and quick access to the beach. The cottage has forced air heat and air conditioning. We also include an assortment of games and a local guide to Traverse City attractions. Included in the rental is a fishing boat, canoe, oars, paddles and life preservers. The fire pit is located on the beach near the private dock. No pets or smoking PLEASE! The cottage is not handicapped accessible. SurroundingsTreetop cottage is located on a one acre lot. The property is wooded with plenty of sun and shade. Rennie Lake is a 250+ acre all sports, private lake with no public access. Great fishing (large and smallmouth bass, bluegill, perch), swimming, boating and sun bathing. Public land adjoins the property with many excellent trails for hiking and secluded walks. The cottage is conveniently located 12 miles from downtown Traverse City, offering excellent shopping, fine dining, local zoo and museums. Nearby recreation opportunities include numerous golf courses, horseback riding, hiking, tennis, canoeing, trout fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, skiing, and casino gambling. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Interlochen Music Camp and over a dozen wineries are within a 45 minute drive. Rennie Lake covers 250 acres and has a water depth of 30 feet.
