Downtown Three Lakes has a old-fashioned warmth, with antique-looking lamp posts lining the streets. The town can provide all the shopping and amenities you might need.

The Nicolet National Forest, about 660,000 acres, offers scenic hiking, bicycling, camping, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. It contains more than 1,200 lakes and 1,100 miles of of trout streams. It provides good hunting for deer, bear, grouse, and waterfowl.

Nearby is the world famous Eagle River Chain of Lakes. It consists of 28 lakes with unlimited boating and fishing opportunities.

Three Lakes is 10 miles south of the world famous town of Eagle River and 25 miles northeast of the city of Rhinelander. Also, about 300 miles (5 hours) north of Chicago and about 220 miles (4 hours) north of Milwaukee.

The Fruit of the Woods Winery in downtown Three Lakes produces unique cranberry wine, and visitors are invited to stop for a taste of wind or juice.

The Big Stone Golf & Country Club is a challenging and scenic 9-hole golf course only two miles east of Three Lakes.
