Spicer is 2 hours west of Minneapolis St. Paul and 5 miles south of New London. Each town has unique shops for crafting and antiques. There are also several great eating establishments offering the best in food, refreshments and entertainment.

There is an excellent 27 hole golf course located 3 miles north of the city and an additional 6 golf courses within 15 miles of Spicer.

A hiking/biking trail starts in New London and goes through Spicer to Willmar, MN. New London is also home to the award winning Little Crau Water Ski Team.

Sibley State Park is about 8 miles away with hiking and biking trails and a naturalist on staff with frequent educational offerings all summer on birds, plants and other wildlife in the area.

The Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center is 5 miles west of Spicer.
