Port Austin is located on Lake Huron, in east-central Michigan.

	Located at the tip of Michigan's Thumb, the Greater Port Austin Area is often referred to as the Hidden Gold Coast. The area encompasses Northern Huron County and includes more than 90 miles of beautiful shoreline along the great Lake Huron.
	The Port Austin area has received national, state and local recognition for its fine restaurants, great harbor, pristine waters and historical significance.
	There is a lot to see at the tip of the Thumb. Visit the many historical homes, restaurants, and churches. Also visit the Pointe Aux Barques Lighthouse, the Grindstone City grindstones, and the Huron City Museum.
	Shop for unusual souvenirs, clothes, antiques and better gift items at the stores.
	Be sure to stop by the Chamber of Commerce located in the community Civic Center at the main intersection of town. Pick up a Visitor's Guide, many brochures and a complete list of current and future events. There is so much to see and do in Port Austin.
